What market can do in this week? NIFTY 50 INDEX ANALYSIS (TECHNICAL ANALYSIS)

TECHNICAL ANALYSIS OF NIFTY 50 INDEX :

MONTHLY CHART:

Here, we have monthly chart of The Nifty 50 Index. It's a plain price chart without any indicator or tool.
  • Firstly, we can see the market is in a bull phase on a longer term time frame( monthly chart)
  • How we can say that ?
  • We can say that by seeing the price structure of the market.
  • The Nifty 50 Index is making Higher Top- Higher Bottom structure which is an symbol of Bull-Market. Having this signal on monthly Time frame shows that the long term trend or primary trend of the market is BULLISH.
  • We can see a series of Higher bottom in the above chart, each building above the previous one.
  • It clearly suggest the powers of bull as no previous bottom has been breached yet.
  • In today's scenario, we have written maybe a higher bottom as the month hasn't over yet. It's just an assumption that it will over making a higher bottom.
  • So, by this view we can conclude that there is no damage to long term trend.

Now, let's have a look at Medium- Term Trend through Weekly Timeframe Candlesticks Chart:

Here are some of the important observations of the Weekly Timeframe Chart:
  • The weekly chart is making series of lower top-lower bottom.
  • That signifies that market is in Bearish phase in medium term period and market is going through a correction phase.
  • This Medium term correction phase is also called as secondary trend as it is for short term period.
  • There are many secondary trend in a primary trend bull market .
  • When this trend will be over the market will continue to it's original bull-phase.
One more thing to observe carefully is that the market crossed it's previous week high today i.e 18 March 2025. Giving bullish signals for this week. Below is the representation of the same on chart.

Conclusion from the Weekly Time frame chart is that Medium Term trend is in bearish mode overall but for this week it could be bullish.
Let's see this Bullish implication on one more shorter Time frame.

DAILY CHART:

This is the Daily Time frame of The Nifty50 Index or we can call it as the short term time frame for investors.
Here are the few observations from the daily chart:
  • The Daily Time frame was also making a series of lower top , lower bottom from past many months.
  • So, that clearly says that market was in a bearish form from past many days.
  • Then, we can see a slight change in the structure after today's candle closing is that the market consolidated making a higher bottom.
  • After 6 days of consolidation, it gave a breakout from that consolidation today with crossing previous week high as well.
  • So, that indicates bullishness for few days till the trendline shown in below chart approached:

* The Nifty50 Index can reach this trendline and then we have to look for the reaction of the market to this trendline.
  • If it gave proper signals for selling at that trendline resisting it, then one can go on the shorter side of the market.
  • Or the other case would be, let the market consolidate near this trendline and then see if it is going an upside breakout.
  • Currently, looking at the Banknifty chart there is much chances of being bullish this week. We'll analyze the Banknifty chart later on another blog.
CONCLUSION:
The Nifty 50 Index indicates  no such problem for long-term investors and this could be a great time for the long term investors for adding more quantity of their ideal stock to their portfolio or getting good stocks at a discounted price.
For Traders, who trade looking medium term and short term time frame, they need to trade with Caution as market can change it's direction very rapidly.
